On the Look Out

Summer, Year 756 of the New Age
Silverthorne, Edge of the Iron hills, looking into the sea

Baratheon climbed up the hill, and stopped at the very edge of it's cliff. There was a storm in the distance, closing in.
It's thunder rattled through the sky, and lightning flashing subtly. Baratheon needed some time alone from the herd to think.
The forest fire was extinguished, as it rained earlier. Baratheon looked into the ocean, and listened to the calm waves crashing against the shore.
The fire had reminded him of the past.
He needed a distraction from the thought of his parents. Yes, his father was a strong stag, but he was strict.
Baratheon wasn't the most loved in his family. His older brother was a more golden colour, so of course his father loved him more.
Baratheon was just the son with the bronze. The stag took a deep breath.

"I was never good enough... even when my brother had passed.. I was still 2nd. I bet if he saw me now he would have a different opinion.
" said Baratheon in a low tone. He was bitter. His mother never stood up for him because she was scared of his father.
His father treated him like garbage. He was only a young fawnling. "I didn't deserve to be left like that...
A tear streamed down his cheek, and dropped onto the dry ground.

When Baratheon was younger, around the age of 3, his father said something to him. Something harsh. It sent Baratheon in a fit of rage, which had make something spark. He went off into the forest to display his rage in a healthy way. The image of himself ramming into the trees and trying to practice his magic appeared in his head. Something happened... something that changed his life forever, and really made Baratheon the stag he is today. -
